What is MAQAM
Maqam is a GDS controlled by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. All bookings made via the GDS will receive a BRN number which is necessary to apply for Umrah Visas.
NOTE: All bookings need to be paid by e-wallet, currently available with local Umrah Operators only. If you do not have a local Saudi Umrah Operator partner, let us know. We will gladly connect you.
The difference between MAQAM & Worldwide Hotels
Whether your client needs an Umrah visa or not, the UmrahHolidays platform has the right product for you. Depending on the type of booking you want to make, you can use the above slider to switch between following the rate types.
 | Where you will find Hotels in MAKKAH and MADINAH from the MAQAM GDS. Anyone requiring a BRN number to apply or process Umrah Visas will require to book via this option. |
 | Where you can access Hotel and Transportation inventory in over 14.000 destinations globally including Makkah and Madinah. If you are eligible for an e-Visa or Visa on arrival such as GCC residents, Schengen, UK, or US Visa holders you may book via this option and get access to our portfolio of directly contracted Hotels. Additionally, if you have your Umrah Visa but would like to add additional stop-overs to your customer's journey, this is the right spot for you. |
Searching for a MAQAM Hotel
From the Hotels Tab, follow these simple steps.
1- Switch the booking channel to book with Maqam on the Hotel tab.
2- Destination: select destination "Makkah" or "Madinah".
3- Check IN/OUT: Assign Check IN/OUT Date.
4- Room & Occupancy: select the number of rooms and passengers.
Rooms: assign the number of rooms we can select up to 40 rooms
Adult: select the number of adults per room up to 10 adults.
Children: select the number of children per room up to 5 children and assign the Age for each child.
Add Room group: to set rooms as groups
Configure rooms individually: Config each room individual
Understanding the Search Results
| 1-Filter: | In the left lane, you will find filters to narrow down your search results based on multiple criteria, including Price, distance to the holy mosque, Star Rating, board basis, and many more. | ||||||
| 2- Sort by: | Sort your results by price or alphabetically here. | ||||||
| 3- Search Hotels: | If you are looking for a particular property, this is the quickest way of finding it. | ||||||
| 4- Hotel Name: | hotel name and address | ||||||
| 5 - SubPCC Availability: | Show if we have an offer for the best rate for this hotel. | ||||||
| 6- Average Rate: | We show you the best average daily rate for the hotel, and you can see more room & rate options | ||||||
7- More information  | Showing more information about hotel and hotel photos, Telphone also from this area, we can send an offer to customers using  and send it by Email. | ||||||
8- Show on Map | it shows the hotel on the map | ||||||
| 9- Room List | Complete list of Room types available per hotel. | ||||||
| 10- Board Basis | Board basis and other services are included in the rate. | ||||||
| 11 - Include Services | it shows the services that are included in the rate. | ||||||
| 12- Cancellation policy | it shows if the booking is within the Deadline or it will be clickable to show the cancellation policy | ||||||
| 13- Rates & Notes | Prices and Policies (Cancellation policies & Rate notes) as all of these icons show the details on mouseover.

Enter Guest details
| To confirm a booking, we only require some basic information about the lead traveler. In this last step of the booking process, you`ll see a final overview of the services booked and prices, before completing the payment via e-wallet: |
